Family and Professional Background
Brett Godfrey is a husband and father, and a small business owner.
Brett and his wonderful wife, Julie, have been together since the beginning of Brett's career as a trial lawyer, which began more than 22 years ago.
In addition to serving the people of Colorado as a lawyer for more than 2 decades, Brett holds a degree in Chemical Engineering. He is a former Air Force officer and a multi-engine, instrument-rated pilot.
Brett has lived in House District 37 for 18 years, and has a deep love of Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. He is also a painter, and his paintings of Colorado landscape are on display in a prominent Cherry Creek art gallery.
Brett and his family ski when time permits, and often tour the streets of House District 37 on foot, bicycle, and occasionally on his Harley Davidson.
Real-Life Experience
Brett Godfrey's professional life has not always involved courtroom settings. His carreer has led him deep into underground mines, high atop tramway towers, construction sites, railroad accident scenes, nursing homes hospitals, hospices and a thousand other places. Before working as a lawyer, Brett worked as a professional pilot, and before that, he worked as a Chemical Engineer, and even before that, he served as Boy Scout leader while working as a door-to-door salesman, a waiter and in construction.
