What Are My Priorities?

I stand for the protection of children and the elderly. I want to make it easier to flourish and prosper in Colorado than anywhere else in the nation.

I lean toward reason, toward the greatest good for the greatest number of people, and in the direction of balance, rationality and good judgment. I lean away from radical, extreme views that tend to single out particular groups as targets of blame and I oppose granting undue governmental influence to special interests.

What Influences Lawmakers?

When a person runs for office, he or she makes promises. These go beyond the specific position statements of the candidate, and reach the very fabric of what the person agrees to do for the people.

I've spent my entire adult life writing paychecks, covering health insurance premiums for my family and my employees and putting groceries on the table. For the past 20 years, I've been formulating legal solutions to complex problems in society. I've solved challenges posed by new technologies and financial disruptions.

Most importantly, I've learned how to draw opposing viewpoints together in reaching these solutions.

Colorado deserves excellent service in government. Providing that degree of service takes a combination of training, commitment and personal values.
